SD-WAN 7.6 Core Administrator Training introduces the fundamental deployment and administration concepts used in Fortinet Secure SD-WAN environments. Learners study how to configure SD-WAN on FortiGate and understand its integration with FortiGate routing and firewall features. The course explains members, zones, performance SLAs, rules, rule strategies, routing, sessions, centralized management, and common troubleshooting methods.
The training focuses primarily on single-device deployments and smaller SD-WAN topologies. The course also covers how FortiManager is used to centrally manage basic FortiOS SD-WAN deployments. After completing the course, learners should be able to maintain an SD-WAN environment, analyze changing link conditions, identify routing or rule-matching problems, and improve the performance of an existing deployment.
Prerequisites
- Advanced Networking Knowledge Learners should understand IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, policy routing, WAN technologies, sessions, and enterprise network design.
- Extensive FortiGate Experience Fortinet recommends having strong hands-on experience with FortiGate before taking this course. Learners should be comfortable configuring interfaces, routes, firewall policies, security settings, and basic FortiOS networking features.
- FortiGate Administrator Knowledge Learners should understand the topics covered in the FortiGate 7.6 Administrator course or have equivalent practical experience.
